"I have always been active in various crafts, having bought my first wood lathe while in grade 9. Creating wooden toys and bowl turning as well as furniture building for my house have kept my hands busy. While a scout leader, a survival book showed how to make a willow basket. After several attempts it worked out reasonably. Over the years this medium has proved to be interesting and quite versatile. It is always a challenge to replicate baskets seen in museums and other countries. What will be the next challenge? Time well tell."
